Go Away Bad Juju!

Lately I have not been having any luck finishing up any of my projects. It can get frustrating when my only accomplishment some days is building a new floor in Tiny Tower. (I know, if I would stop playing games on my iPad and actually work on something I might have better luck. I know!)

So now I am feeling especially motivated to get rid of this bad juju. I'm surrounded by constant reminders of it - mainly in the form of unfinished home improvement projects and half-started sewing and knitting projects. It seems like every time I try to get something done lately, something pivotal doesn't work right (my drill's battery won't hold a charge anymore!), or I make a plain old mistake (repeatedly!).

With that in mind, here are some socks I've been working on for....a few months now. I've almost diagnosed myself with Second Sock Syndrome (which I've never had!), but I am determined to conquer it and put this behind me.

I knit the first sock comfortably within a few days, but then didn't even start the second for a month or so. Now I can't get the second one to cooperate. I keep messing up the pattern, which you can hardly see in the yarn anyway, so I don't know why I am stressing about it.

I finally ripped it out and re-started last week at knit group, and then I got home and knit a few rows. When I noticed an extra stitch at the end of a row I calmly abandoned the sock.

Tonight is knit group, and I have nothing else in the works to bring with me, so I picked it up to fix the mistake before I go, and it turns out I never made a mistake. Apparently I just assumed I had messed up while blatantly ignoring the pattern.

I am going to beat this! I will post finished photos soon.
